The Kent DJ Academy offers training and advice on every aspect of DJing and the DJ industry. It is a collaborative DJ tutor team headed up by Jon Glover, an experienced working DJ with over 15 years DJing as resident in clubs, festivals and for many private and corporate events. Between Jon and our guest tutors there is a passionate working knowledge of turntables, CD decks and all aspects of modern digital ‘controller’ DJing, all experienced tutors having taught many groups, schools and individuals
We bring a DJ school to Kent for the first time and our prices are aimed to be affordable and excellent value for money
We are unique as not only do we cover related DJ ‘soft skills’ (such as how to promote yourself, how to get gigs, how to deal with crowds etc), we also provide ongoing support to students at no extra cost and offer further advanced training sessions to truly develop and master the skills you need as a DJ. We put emphasis on delivering training in a fun way but we also don’t leave our students on their own after attending our sessions
With links to clubs, promotors, musicians, producers and several working DJs we offer a wealth of knowledge and experience
The DJ Academy is open to all, adults, boys, girls, young and old, whether they are beginners or experienced DJs wanting to polish up their skills or perhaps learn a new style or DJ system
DJing can be a very competitive vocation but very addictive and rewarding! Whether you are interested as a hobby or want to carve a career, we can show you how to master your existing DJ gear and introduce you to professional industry-standard equipment, provide solid advice and encourage creativity with our tried and tested tips and tricks and help you become the DJ you want to be and give you the head start and the edge you need
We can provide ‘DJ experience’ sessions or tailor events near and far for corporate events, Hen and Stag parties, birthdays, provide creative DJ showcases or provide professional DJs for club work or private events including ‘live DJ’ sets with partner musicians (saxophonists, vocalists etc)
We are fully insured with public liability for DJing and teaching and tutors have current CRB security checks

In our sessions, he covered everything from setting up equipment, using different desks to helping me create my first live mix! He really “thought out of the box” to address possible problem scenarios that a DJ may face and was always 100% professional.
Truly priceless advice, a thoroughly enjoyable experience and gave me the perfect start to begin my DJ career and I loved every minute!”

What ever DJ you wanna be his knowledge on it is incredible and he has hands on with the best equipment in the game… not only will he help you get better but when he thinks your ready he will do his best to help you get a foot in the door….. If you’re on the fence about starting DJing give them a call….I guarantee you won’t regret it.”
Colin G – “Having upgraded from a Traktor S4 controller to a club standard CDJ/DJM 900 set-up I was in need of an educational kickstart to get me going. Jon’s technical knowledge was really helpful in getting me up and running and he really tailored our time together to what I was trying to achieve. Great service from a really down to earth and approachable fella – couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Thanks Jon, see you again soon I’m sure.”

To being able to understand what they function and the amazing things you can do with them. So much was taught in 3 hours and so much was learnt. Extremely looking forward to my next session. If you want to learn how to DJ, this is the place!”

WitWitWoo’s lifestyle blog article – “So, what DO you buy your son for his 18th birthday?”, “I wanted to get him something he’d remember. Something unique. Something special. I know he loves music and DJ’ing”.
“I came across The Kent DJ Academy. And as soon as I saw their website I knew I’d found the perfect present for my son”.
“You are taught on high quality, up to date equipment and in an environment that I knew my son would love”.

Mrs. F. Graham, Head of Music, Walderslade Girl’s School – “During my time at Walderslade Girls’ School, I invited Jon Glover to give a one hour presentation of DJ technology to a group of about 20 year 10 students. He demonstrated a detailed understanding of the subject and presented the information to the students in a way that was interesting and enjoyable. The students at first were reluctant to try out the equipment but Jon was able to encourage them to “have a go”. As a result of his calm and professional approach, all of the students said how much they had learnt from and enjoyed the session. From the student feedback, it was clear that the session was one of the best that they had attended as part of their BTEC course. I have no hesitation in recommending Jon Glover to do DJ workshops and presentations.”
