The Kent DJ Academy offers training and advice on every aspect of DJing and the DJ industry. It is a collaborative DJ tutor team headed up by Jon Glover, an experienced working DJ with over 20 years DJing as resident in clubs, festivals and for many private and corporate events. Between Jon and our guest tutors there is a passionate working knowledge of turntables, CD decks and all aspects of modern digital ‘controller’ DJing, all experienced tutors having taught many groups, schools and over 600 students
We are the original DJ school in Kent established in 2014 and our prices are aimed to be affordable and excellent value for money
We are unique as not only do we cover related DJ ‘soft skills’ (such as how to promote yourself, how to get gigs, how to deal with crowds etc), we also provide ongoing support to students at no extra cost and offer further advanced training sessions to truly develop and master the skills you need as a DJ. We put emphasis on delivering training in a fun way but we also don’t leave our students on their own after attending our sessions
With links to clubs, promotors, musicians, producers and several working DJs we offer a wealth of knowledge and experience
The DJ Academy is open to all, adults, boys, girls, young and old, whether they are beginners or experienced DJs wanting to polish up their skills or perhaps learn a new style or DJ system

DJing can be a very competitive vocation but very addictive and rewarding! Whether you are interested as a hobby or want to carve a career, we can show you how to master your existing DJ gear and introduce you to professional industry-standard equipment, provide solid advice and encourage creativity with our tried and tested tips and tricks and help you become the DJ you want to be and give you the head start and the edge you need
We can provide ‘DJ experience’ sessions or tailor events near and far for corporate events, Hen and Stag parties, birthdays, provide creative DJ showcases or provide professional DJs for club work or private events including ‘live DJ’ sets with partner musicians (saxophonists, vocalists etc)
We are fully insured with public liability for DJing and teaching and tutors have current CRB security checks
